Napoli are reportedly ready to offer Hirving Lozano a new contract at the club, with Crystal Palace and Everton both looking to sign the Mexican superstar in the summer. According to Il Mattino, the Serie A giants are ready to undergo a huge period of contract negotiations with their star players, with Napoli keen for Lozano to sign a new deal alongside the likes of Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, and Amir Rrahmani.
Napoli paid £36m to sign Lozano according to the Daily Mail, and although the 27-year-old is yet to score for Spalletti’s side this campaign, the Italian manager is seemingly keen to keep the club’s squad depth with as many quality options as possible. Indeed, Lozano leaving Napoli in January could be quite the loss for the Italian title chasers. However, should the winger impress in the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Mexico, there’s a good chance that the likes of Palace and Everton could reignite their interest in the attacker.
Lozano’s Napoli career has been as inconsistent as it has been explosive at points, and a strong showing in Qatar this winter could spark some interest in the winger as we head into the January transfer window. This is why Napoli should be working hard to renew the attacker’s contract.
