SIGNINGS?

The potential signings of Crystal Palace of this month might be threatened and the squad can lose their chance on bringing into the squad the players that the head coach Tony Pulis wants due to the fact that the co-chairman of the club Steve Parish has booked a trip to the Barbados for 10 days.

Parish was the lead man in the race of signing the defender of Blackburn Scott Dann but now that the co-chairman is out of the club, it could stall the transfer and may even allow other clubs to come in and snatch the player.

Even with the absence of Steve Parish from the club, Tony Pullis is positive and confident about the transfer plans that will be implemented for Crystal Palace in this transfer window.

“He hadn’t gone away when I spoke to him today even if he does then it still makes no difference to me signing players or releasing them,” he told the South London Press.

“I speak to Steve twice a day and with modern machinery in place – as long as he is able to email or is near a fax then there is absolutely no problem. We’ve got irons in the fire and know which targets we want. Putting deals together is difficult. People don’t see it that way – you have got to get all parties in agreement’’.

“Sometimes you have to convince people they are worth the risk, sometimes you need to convince people that the money they are asking for is too much and sometimes you have to take a hit on things yourself. The one thing I will say is that people in charge of the football club will definitely try and get the best deals and best value.”

Demba Ba is not getting a lot of playing time at Chelsea and Crystal Palace will try to make an offer for the player in this month, as he is one of the high-profile targets of the club.
