HOLLOWAY BLASTS WENGER

The Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has blasted the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger by saying that he should prefer to talk about his own players. Wenger recently commented that the Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha was someone he would be interested in signing in the January transfer window. However, Ian Holloway has issued a hands off warning to the Arsenal manager, while also saying that it is not the best idea to talk about other players. Holloway has also suggested that Wilfried Zaha will be spending a majority of the current five-year contract he has with the club at Selhurst Park.

The 20-year-old recently made his debut for the England national team in the 4-2 defeat against Sweden. He has been spoken of as the next big thing from the Crystal Palace Academy since the days of Ian Wright, who went on to become a legend for Arsenal. It is not that Crystal Palace will be willing to part ways with the 20-year-old for a transfer fee of around £ 20 million. Arsenal have brought in a number of young British players in recent times starting with Theo Walcott. Wenger has said that he would be interested in the 20-year-old given his qualities, but has acknowledged that he is not the only player they are targeting in the January transfer window.

“Why is he talking about my players? I don’t think that’s right and proper, with the greatest respect. I don’t think anybody who manages any other club should actually admit who he likes and what he should be doing. I think that’s totally bad etiquette. He can say what he likes but about his players, not mine,” said the Crystal Palace manager, who has been able to get the team maintain their top position in the table since his arrival more than a month ago.
